Feels like a backward step from Network Rail Wayfinding 3.0, quite possibly to satisfy the whim of someone at DfT When it comes to brand, everything GBR touches turns to mediocre style over substance

Show PostBRB(R) were the owners of all former British Rail-related IP until it became defunct in 2014 when IP transferred to DfT (although they flogged some, eg Network SouthEast); I guess they wanted to be differentiated visually from the companies who used the symbol under licence from National Rail
