Oh I agree, I just think it’s wishful thinking based on past seasons where Arsenal have looked good going into the new year and then crumbled in February/March and it’s more that they all support big teams struggling so they’re looking for a Man City replacement

Brighton Vs LCFC is a pretty good analogy, not least because teams don't set up against them like they do a traditional title challenge. If Brighton can sustain a title challenge it can only be good for the PL.

Having seen good Arsenal starts under Wenger crumble in March I don’t start worrying about Villa and Brighton unless they’re still in it at that point (which Villa weren’t). Plus it’s easy for Brighton now with no pressure and nobody adapting to them by sitting deeper like we have.
