Oh, that’s interesting. So we do the normal progression and so far it’s felt about right for us. I’ve found with adventure writing sometimes you are kind of pushing it but I do think a lot of creativity comes out of that, though sometimes it is just adding extra victories for reasons.

Is it possible for something with the plot to immediately "jump" them up levels? Like let's say they enter a creepy castle and defeat the Ghost of the former Baron. They then get trapped in a magical mirror, where they spend X imaginary days fighting for their lives against imaginary hordes of

undead. When the sun rises, the mirror shatters and they're thrust back into the real world. Now level 3? It could be a fun mechanic or something with time skips that makes it happen. It's not something I'd want to do for most adventures. But could be a fun 1-time thing.
