the fact that no "best fantasy authors" list ever includes Clive Barker is a mortal sin; that is our GRANDMOTHER!!! he IS the blueprint!!! his writing is gross and sexy and weird and queer and beautiful and it's always ambitious and inspiring he should be required reading!!!!*
