I'd need to be saying "What about..." to some sort of criticism in that case. Whatbaboutism looks like: Person A: "This guy's sucks 'cuz he's child killer defender." Person B: "Oh? You think he's worse than the pedophile defenders?!" I just said Torres, who sucks, made a good point. Not the same.

You do understand when people cite the meme they are not, in most circumstances, plainly stating "the person I'm referencing here is specifically and literally the actual worst person ever", right? But to be clear, the guy unabashedly defends child killers, so he is, in fact, pretty fucking bad!
