ED applies to any buckle! I draw a lot more chest harnesses and collars than I do belts lol When in doubt, you can always pull reference for the orientation of the buckle itself (As in whether it's placed lefty or righty) on the specific item your drawing.

I recommend doing the work of finding reference once, making a sticker sheet style collection of them, and saving that locally as a transparent png, so you always have it on hand. I've been doing this with ref for both gear and animals over the past couple years and have a little stockpile :)
