The home of Rules in Covent Garden has been donated to the National Trust. 34-35 Maiden Lane houses Rules, London’s oldest restaurant that has stood at the heart of British cultural life since 1798. The remarkable gift will ensure its stories can be shared with new generations.

It was my husband's funeral on Wednesday. It went well, I was surrounded by love for us both. But I'm definitely feeling that now I have to face the hard bit. However, I am going away with three close friends for the weekend and thank goodness!
