We’ve been preoccupied at HWS with the 1066 anniversary. The department went to the reenactment last weekend. And during the week we screened the live show from the British Museum for Y7. It’s all fascinating but I’m not sure it deserves the prominence that it has in the school curriculum.

Thankfully people are living longer. Either we continue to pay the cost of failing to look after them, or we build the national care service capable of supporting people into older age, & at the end of their life. Time to rip the plaster off & face this test. hansard.parliament.uk/commons/2026...
