When my coworkers find out I play fighting games, they ask me if I'm good or not. I tell them, "I'm not nearly as good as the people who get paid to play it, but I'm better at [current game] than anyone you know personally, in real life." It's not a high bar but I have never been proven wrong

Hell yeah. Casual Tryhards! In the last server I was in I dubbed myself "Saline Salaryman." I'm gonna come home from work and sometimes play a fighting game. Sometimes I'll learn some frame data and play some sets and maybe go to a local. My improvement is mostly so I can play better vs my friends
