Yes, "capitalism is bad, so let's oppose housing" is so often a logical fallacy BINGO. Everytime someone says "Paris" when talking about "gentle density" or "design". I am reminded that Paris of today was an imperial project by an authoritarian leader who completely razed neighbourhoods... #yegcc

This exactly. For >15yrs tower projects were routinely opposed in #yegcc with "we want gentle density"... "brownstones"... "4-storeys"... #yegcc figured out how to do exactly this & the result is neighbours hiding from restrictive covenant harassment campaigns & massive provincial overreach.
