id welcome some discussion on this if someone disagrees as well. i feel like the conversation around this kind of thing has lost a lot of nuance. AI in general has become the place to draw up cultural battle lines so i get why someone would feel compelled to approach it so dogmatically

i also resent the suggestion that getting an LLM to write a sql query is the same as using it to create works of visual art or music or write creatively, though i know for some people these are the same thing in their eyes

i realise that the well is poisoned on this subject but i think that choosing not to engage with software on the basis that it has been coded with ai assistance is an example of misguided selective thinking, though i understand the reasoning to a degree

I mean anti Muslim sentiment has not only been baked into American media for decades, but post 9/11 it was straight up a useful trait for ascension in American media. Even Jon Stewart who gets held up as some woke 00s era icon loved doing that shit and frequently defended it.
