the soundtrack just felt underwhelming at the beginning but still fine, but then I hit the library and I was just in so much shock at how offputting and out of place it was I honestly ended up muting it. I know that sounds too mean but I feel like anyone who gets there will understand

It's unfortunate that the team that gave us the excellent Return to Castlevania DLC couldn't be bothered to bring back the melodies for the actual return to Castlevania. I'm hoping the rest of the music picks up the slack if you do continue the playthrough.

Just finished the demo. Feels more like a Dark Souls game than a Metroidvania, and not in a good way. Also, who decided not to put the save room near the boss? Oh well, we tried. At least there's Ritual of the Night to fill the void. That's a good one.

Gunvolt is always such a neat vocal placement to explore because he’s youthful, but NOT bright-eyed. And yet - while he carries gloom similar to earlier versions of Rean Schwarzer - there’s an inner desire he has to keep smiling that never quite goes away. I hope folks enjoy how I portray him here!
