Similarly, I just tried a sewing machine for the first time! ...It looks terrible and 2/4 sides need redoing, lol. But I'm doing it out of interest, for fun, and for me. I realized that trying new skills makes me feel alive! If I'm good at it, great! If not, I still had fun trying something new.

It's been 84 years but I have FINALLY finished colouring my comic which means it is DONE!!!!!!!!!! This is one of the most challenging things I've ever done wowwwwwwwwwwwww I can't wait for people to read it!!!!!!!!! It is actually killing me that I can't show off any of the best bits bc spoilers!!

I'm really enjoying it, I used to do a little digital art in my late teens but it was largely extremely simple stuff and I let all the skills disappear - this time around I'm actually actively learning and trying so many new things and it is a lot of fun! Thank you for the encouragement!

I'm just starting to seriously try art at 44 so seeing this digital medium art taking shape in high speed is mind-blowing. I'm still working on pencil sketching basics but thanks for putting out this kind of content for those of us beginning the journey.

yeah. There is real stuff in there, but it’s tiring seeing one specific experience spread as general gender insight, especially including ‘T brain’. I’m skeptical generalising about gendered socialisation too tbh when so many people are socially excluded for being GNC (or a million other reasons)
