The fact that you can see the face of Captain Clark and its not hatred, it's not anger, it's not the expression of a rabid animal. It's fear. It's sorrow. That's what the Rooms saw in Clark. Desperation, a silent cry for help, and it's DEVISTATING. Legitimately one of my favorite horror movies.

I don't know why, but on my third watch of Backrooms, something about this particular shot made me almost cry. Thinking about the real Clark crying alone while desperately needing help but being unable to take any. And having it represented in this fucked up distorted caricature got to me, man...
