I had to backfill what was going on because I've got filters that stop me seeing anything from substack. Once I figured it out, it helped underline that stopping myself seeing anything from substack remains a good idea

cheers! It's very easy if one is a lefty to be legitimately skeptical of a centrist party with flaky policies that openly says it will go left or right without being weird and grubby about people's families like this! Bit disappointed some seem to be struggling with that.

My mother is a "personal responsibility" type National voter (also a primary school teacher, oddly enough), and my brother lives in the US & voted at least once for Trump. I've been voting Green at least 4 elections in a row. Family does not mean same views.

The substack post I saw doing the rounds making these sorts of insinuations was also obviously AI written, so if you're nodding along with it you're also falling for clout-chasing slop, in addition to being substantively unprincipled. Both embarrassing and gross imo.
