I came to say all this as well but since you so beautifully laid everything out, I only have one addition. Claribel wasn’t even arrogant in the post! This whole time I thought she posted something like “I got a rollie for each arm!” ALL SHE SAID WAS THAT SHE WAS HAPPY! I cannot with some people.

It is *so* difficult for marginalized authors to break into publishing let alone succeed (especially these days) We need all the encouragement and good news we can get, so I will keep posting about my accomplishments PROUDLY. Me being proud of my accomplishments (which have been very hard won btw) has nothing to do with your own insecurities. I genuinely hope you find success and happiness but I won’t make myself smaller for your comfort. That’s your problem to solve.
