okay so ncis: origins, the prequel about young (40yo) gibbs is currently in season 3 set in 1992, which puts them three years ahead of the first episode of jag and eleven years ahead of the premiere (and backdoor pilot) of regular ncis in 2003 which means they can do some really annoying crossovers
