I culled a small black walnut to avoid overcrowding of other trees on the property and gave the wood to a friend Mike. Mike makes wood toys - actually they are works of art. Anyhow, he showed up at my door with this gift that he made from that same black walnut.

a couple of days ago I learnt about the existence of printing filaments made with wood fibers so I've become fully brain obsessed with learning how to use them to print wooden toys... they can be sanded, stained and varnished - I just have to get more items and learn how to use them... wooden toy 💭

In case we ever got another domino toppling gig, my brother and I wanted something better than the toys we grew up with. Back then, the ones used for professional events like Domino Day were expensive and/or hard to get. So we resorted to making thousands of our own dominoes with wood and paint.
