The retro tap is such a great piece of tech. I don't have any plans to get one myself but I could definitely see it being something I get later on to clean up my retro setup, for the time being it's not super necessary but maybe once I get some more of the early gen consoles I'll go for it

Finally got around to installing @kytor.com's Retro Tap - despite my mostly unattractive install and the remaining ratsnest of other cables (from GameCube, Wii U, Retrotink, etc) this thing *really* cleaned things up. Definitely worth the purchase.

Microsoft has announced that Windows Update will be discontinued on legacy versions of Windows, including Windows 7, 8.1, and most versions of Windows 10, in June 2027. A set of critical certificates will expire, and no update will be issued to resolve this on older versions. More info:
