7#/gal. I do this math all the time. My rig holds 1400# of diesel, for instance. That's enough for 2-3 full days of driving at my average MPG of 9.5. So...I'll burn a ton plus of diesel every 4d or so, even in a modern aerodynamic rig at reasonable speeds.
