When I got the reel-to-reel repaired, the guy found out I do archiving and asked me if I wanted a copy of stuff that people had given him over time, and of course I said yes.

Anki, it's an open source flashcard program with a focus on spaced repetition. It's clunky but if you're trying to learn the 1000 most common words in a language it's quite useful and people have made tons of resources for it in every language.

I'm actually not against the "toilet is a technology" argument because we can take it all the way back to "language is a technology" and language is one of the least neutral things there is. But the tech bros aren't talking about *the use* of technology, just evoking lab coats and safety glasses.
