NVIDIA has formed the Open Secure AI Alliance: nearly 40 companies building open tools to defend systems where the attacker may be an AI agent. Microsoft, IBM, CrowdStrike, Cloudflare, Red Hat and Hugging Face are founding members.

OpenAI did not connect the Hugging Face breach to its own models until Hugging Face published that it had been hacked, about five days later. By then Hugging Face had already gone to the FBI. Reuters reports the lab found out by reading about it.
