Same but opposite problem. I live in an old house that needs lots of work before I can even think of getting a heat pump. I would love to get rid of the gas and I am moving towards doing that. But it's not going to be anytime soon because I simply can not afford to do the work needed.

I'm pretty pissed that essentially ALL of our problems are caused by a small handful of demonstrably evil people we don't actually have to put up with and yet, for some reason, have. Even climate change would be less pressing if the same kind of folk hadn't paid to block even modest forms
