OUP really does seem to be struggling at the moment, and recent books are poorly proofread - here the same typo crops up in both the contents page AND the chapter title. In-text typos are one thing, typos in chapter titles are something a publisher should probably, um, avoid 😳

^This. We have a perfectly acceptable word, and it is “buffet”. Or cheeseboard/ charcuterie, if you like. Even “high tea” if you want to get really fancy. “Picky bits” is infantilising and only one step away from bastard “girl dinner”, which just makes me want to set fire to everything.

In an effort to cut down on the pool cars (there was a total of one) my company insisted any manager’s company car should be used when a pool car was needed. I would always tune ALL presets to Kerrang! as they were all Heart FM and Enya/Dido CD listeners. MUA-HA-HA-HAH!
