One of the many things I love about El-Sayed is that he's willing to engage with someone hostile if it gets them to admit the premises behind that hostility, to the extent that it becomes impossible to avoid the underlying bigotry. You want to go there, fine, but he's gonna make you own it.

I'm hoping he is just measuring his language for the election. From what I have seen, it's mostly been him being very careful with his words and not a flat-out change in his stance. Hopefully he stays true once elected and shows Texis that good things can happen.
