Shoutout to my 7-year-old who waited two hours with us to see the inside of the Uptown Theatre today. He was the youngest kid I saw, probably bc most parents aren’t as dumb as me. Here’s a pic I took of the Uptown 20 years ago before they had to lop off the top before it fell on the sidewalk.

There used to be a bench here, it was removed, and @chicagobenchcollective.org installed a new one. I saw three generations of a family using it.
