Saw a flight attendant do this once. Wet a napkin with hot water, put it in the bottom of a paper cup, place cup over baby's ear. Apparently, it helps with the air pressure. It worked!

Have been that stressed mom and I would probably react violently to “have you tried XYZ strategy?” but I would have loved you forever for just saying, “You’re doing great, want me to hold him for a bit so you can stretch and use the bathroom?”

I got lucky being next to a toddler who looked *just* like Boo from Monsters Inc for 5 hours to Atlanta. We had a great time! We played lots of little games and watched cartoons 👍

There is an absolutely furious shrieking baby on this flight. As a veteran of traveling with infants I want to ask the parents “have you tried xyz strategies” but under the kind of stress they are experiencing right now they would probably eat my liver, and I don’t know that I could blame them
