The State has, everywhere it purchases labour, sought to simply cut its own costs and expected to continue to receive the same services. This is, as those of us who have, for example, bought a weekly shop recently can testify, not how this works.

I am going on #strike tomorrow. In higher ed, state funding per student is about 30% lower than in 2008. The Government’s own acknowledged funding gap of roughly €300m a year is still unfilled; this means bigger classes and heavier workloads- e.g., I have 520 students in my first-year module.

What utter nonsense. Where does he think AI systems get the data to solve the problems? Science and artists. If scientists stop producing new data, then AI systems will have no new data to provide new answers. Its a self limiting system - a doom loop.
