Reading a How To Write Crime book that advises people in the strongest terms not to mix genres, & I cannot stress enough what utter bollocks that is 1. Genre is predominantly a sales & marketing category, not a concrete & immutable thing 2. How do you think new ideas come about, in textual terms?
