I don't want it to seem that life has been nothing but sunshine, rainbows, and lollipops for me since I transitioned. Recently I was out on a walk and woman's dog got loose and charged at me, barking and threatening me. I shouted at it and it kept coming.

I told her that if that dog attacked me, I'd kill it, and she screamed, "Touch me or my dog and I'll have you in jail! You're a man!" I do wish I'd had the presence of mind to say, "That's not what it says on my birth certificate." She did eventually get her dog under control.
