@tyamadat.bsky.socialI've complained on here a few times about synteny plots that are harder to read than they need to be. I decided it was time to actaully do something about it: introducing SynTangle, a tool for untangling whole-genome synteny plots github.com/Hanliconius/... 1/
Show PostIt's been 30 years (!!!) since the conceptualization of GWAS. GWAS has driven tons of discoveries, but with recent experimental developments (CRISPR, single-cell omics), we thought it was time to think about how to drive the next 30 years of human genetics. doi.org/10.5281/zeno...
Show PostDelighted to share this new article where we propose our view for the next generation of human genetics. We argue a need for "Trait Causal Models" linking genetics to effects at all levels of biological structures, and talk about how to get there using gwas, perturbations and observational omics
Show PostWe’re delighted to report the publication of our new @nature.com paper, ‘A microexon regulatory code reveals autism-linked genetic variation’, a major collaboration with @quaidmorris.bsky.social & additional colleagues, led by co-first authors @geparada.bsky.social & @ha.nnes.io.
Show PostPhylogenetic conservation scores have long been used to identify selection targets in the genome. With machine learning, they take a new form and will likely grow in popularity. @apragsdale.bsky.social and I investigate their relationship with mutation rates www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
