I printed out the sketch again and started over, and I'm much happier with how it turned out the second time. The first one wasn't bad, but this feels more like a step in the direction I want to aim for with my traditional work. The other wasn't *wrong*, but this feels more right.

I love him! And I love this story for him. It feels like a really fitting conclusion to his worries/fears about the loa: he sees the limitations they work under up close, and also gets to work in a similar guardian/protector role for his people.
