It's amazing how politicians have to "meet voters where they are" and can't possibly lead on about racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and general bigotry, but voters need to "embrace change" about something that benefits only the very, very rich.

I live just outside the city and don't get a vote in the #ptbo municipal election. My endorsement doesn't mean a lot, but I have some knowledge of local issues around here and related to housing and drug policy. I would vote for Rob Hailman. @rjhelms.bsky.social if I could.
Show PostWe had an MP in the 80s and early 90s in Peterborough who's big issue was bringing back the death penalty. He came to OAC Politics class to talk to us in 93. We had just spent weeks learning about Marshall, Truscott, Morin, Milgaard. He wasn't prepared. Have never seen a man flail so gracelessly.
