It’s Mark Hamill‘s birthday!!!! I remember watching the dub of Castle in the Sky for the first time and being shocked he voiced Colonel Muska, I didn’t recognize him. He has such a recognizable voice and yet he was able to disguise it and play Muska so well. Have a happy Birthday, Mr. Hamill!!

It was Mark Hamill. Never met him, but I always wanted to. I would like him to sign my OT and my Castle in the Sky Blu-ray.

The OG dub was the best, before they got rid of extra banter with the Dola gang in the newer releases of the film. I grew up on the dub, but I love the sub too... but the dub rules. (Also, I see and acknowledge your Jean pfp! I LOVE Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water - underrated anime!)

Go watch the dub for the late greats, James van der Beek & Cloris Leachman. Also, there's Anna Paquin & Mark Hamill! The cast was so well chosen & they all do a great job! Also, it's one of my favorite Ghibli films ever! I gotta go see it (if my work schedule will let me)!

I talk about it all the time but Castle in the Sky really is one of the most formative movies ever made for me and a pretty key piece of my soul. For admittedly better or worse I’m biased/most nostalgic towards the Disney dub, but I really do just love the whole thing up and down so, so much.
