This 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit GTi belongs to a friend of mine. It’s lost a lot of clearcoat but the paint is original. This was the first year of production for the GTi A1 in the U.S., built at VW’s former Westmoreland facility an hour from where we were at a Cars & Coffee even north of Pittsburgh.

This Saab 99EMS is owned by a friend of mine with a large collection of Saabs. It isn’t entirely original, but the colour is, and silver was offered for the 1974-78 model years. The “E” comes from electronic fuel injection, despite later models using mechanical K-jet FI.
