How is my University celebrating English climbing 27 places? Well, it sacked 8 of the 12 of us this summer and is still trying to make me go part-time. I can't see this meteoric rise being sustained. (Note: all league tables are pernicious lies anyway).

How many millennial humanities professors would say they are incredibly lucky to have an academic job? 100% (I hope). How many millennial humanities professors would say that they are ”satisfied” with their academic job? Not that many!
