Like if you put me and my mom in the same room and told people to “listen to immigrants,” I assure you we would land in wildly different places. You’d be lost. You have to delicately balance the respect granted to lived experience with a politic that is actually liberatory for those most harmed.

The stakes are very straightforward: If democratic socialists win, ordinary people win greater rights, protections, public infrastructure, and social services. At the same time, corporations and their lobbyists lose influence and have less control over politics. They are very scared right now.
