Historic milestone in cardiology! On Dec 26, Dr. Raj Makkar at Cedars-Sinai performed the first-ever commercial transcatheter transseptal mitral valve replacement. @fda.gov had approved of the device earlier this week. Dr. Makkar also led the first research case in 2018.
