Definitely ambitious. And we can’t know how it will play out exactly and what direction he wants to go. But it’s vital he ends the UK negotiating practice refusing for years to accept what they know will be the acceptable deal. cf Gibraltar, SPS, youth visas, Northern Ireland

Well it's important to remember that national service didn't apply to Northern Ireland for exactly this reason.
