I’ve read through the first omnibus’ worth of USM and I did enjoy it but I feel like I’m being pranked by ppl who say the art is amazing. It is SINFULLY ugly and I like the pre-digital Bagley Spidey I’ve seen.

“What about Superior Spider-Man, or the Nick Spencer run, or Bendis USM” all of those are orders of magnitude less readable than the random prestige Batman mini they shit out every year.

Show PostIt’s kind of fascinating that by and large Spider-Man was Marvel’s Old Reliable for 30 straight years where the baseline was at least solid and more often than not it was one of their best books and then around 98 they were like “you thinkin what im thinking? Ruin Spidey?”
