Trans rights should absolutely matter to you even if there were only a couple of them. But there aren't a couple, there are a couple MILLION. And they have family and friends who love them. The maths don't even math if you throw them under the bus for moderates. There aren't enough moderates.

It is both terrible policy & a moral outrage to allow the richest man in the world to pretend a sci-fi utopia while he sells his unprofitable companies to each other and concocts schemes to steal public $. I mean, the point is that whether or not reality matches up with the hype the money made is still real (insofar as money itself is real). Bubbles, false promises, absolute scams, are all still potentially profitable, especially when backed by the state, like Musk's boondoggles.
