I pointedly refuse to use self-checkout. I will line up instead every single time and if there is no one to check me out, I will either leave and go elsewhere or just stand and look helpless and ask staff to scan and do it all. And they do

A number of good points made in this article., We don't really think the "fallout" from this produced sufficient solutions. As is discussed in the article, there needs to be a lot more done about the potential harm AI can cause. Not only in horrible images without consent, but also chatbot advice.
