tmk, this wasn't Valve supporting/endorsing said AI Gaming Festival: this was Invirtu Labs using the Events API to publish an event where they selected the titles and livestreams that said, my point is the "hands off" curation approach incentivizes bad actors, and bad actors ruin an ecology

People using AI to reverse engineer games to then turn around and publish clones is straight up theft. Why is anyone pretending otherwise? The only thing genAI is good at making is fucking talentless thieves. Prosecute the lot of them. Sue them to hell.
