Also, thank you all for the advice, but it is now over twelve hours later, and the snake has been released outside long since. (Also my dad used to do snake rescue, I’m not quite as feckless at handling as I am about ID.)

KEVIN: Got it. Please pick which door to go to. And so, at high speed, we ran our new friend to the back and released him. I am about 99% sure it was a milk snake.
