DEPORTATIONS: Another thing that differentiates Trump's second term from prior administrations, including his own first term, is the number of kids who have been deported after officers took them from communities inside the U.S., where they may have been living with their families for years.

RELEASES FROM DETENTION: Under prior administrations kids in ICE detention were most likely to be granted release into the U.S. through orders of recognizance, parole or other forms of relief. But in Trump’s second term, most were either deported or left the country “voluntarily”.

DETENTIONS: The daily population of children in ICE detention has risen sharply, with ICE now holding roughly 200 children in custody each day on average. Last year it was 23 per day.
