I had a thought today while in the shower about how it's hard to live without a dad. My dad died in 2003 and I was a mess when it happened but I always take it in stride when I think about it. My mom is still here and I'm strong for her but I think part of me never allowed myself to feel it.
Show PostI got sober in 2005 almost two years after he died and it's crazy actually to think about how I only lasted doing the things I did in my addiction for not even two years before I gave up but it was a good thing to give up obviously. If I kept going I wouldn't be here today I'm sure.
