Do they even understand how much they’re pissing people off by doing this. Whatever research that convinces them that spamming everyone is all upside is bullshit. It is like they’d rather have all my contact info to sell to other campaigns forever than receive my donation. It sucks.

the thing about big AI companies absurdly shit marketing and PR instincts is that I don’t think they’re using their own models to advise them, because I feel very confident their *own models* would tell them “this is really stupid and willl make normal people hate you.”
