Interesting call. Potentially counters the “Matthew effect” of grant funding. One down side is that ECRs and EMCRs can’t be included on such ‘rolling DPs’ for this round.

I think it's more … pragmatic than that. I think they just forgot to include Industry Fellowships in the explicit list of fellowships in the Guidelines, but have deemed that the definition they give in the appendix of "ARC Fellowship" does in-fact include Industry Fellowships.
