i am so fucking tired of whedonisms. You can tell from a mile which writers had their creative instincts shaped by sitcoms and which had their creative instincts shaped by books, and personally I have a preference for books by people who care about books

I've never been a person with a full movie going on in my brain as I read a book; I don't picture things, I don't remember what characters look like unless it's plot-relevant or they're supposed to be particularly hot. so it's WEIRD to read and feel all the undrawn-details around the edges.

Husband asked me what I want to do for my birthday and ????? I’ve been grilling on my birthday grill all month, we took Moosie to the bookstore and all got some books with my birthday discount. I guess we could get sushi for dinner?
