My father was born in 1921. He ran away to try to fight in Spain at 15; was a lifelong member of the BCP+Trotskyist groups; corresponded for decades with members of the ANC; and was twice arrested for intervening against police racism. Prejudice is always a choice, not a generational inevitability.

Encapsulates the problem with the British press - many propagandists, very few actual journalists. The Telegraph, The Sun, the Daily Mail, like GB News or Talk TV, don't really do journalism, they mostly just do political propaganda for their favoured party
